❖ Convento de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe
This forms a part of Jardín Juarez. The Convent of Our Lady of Guadalupe was founded in 1707 by Fray Antonio Margil de Jesús, who belonged to the Order of Friars Minor, which was dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. This was the most important school of Christian faith on the American continent in the 18th century.
On its red quarry stone facade, you will notice a high relief of Saint Francis of Assisi, holding a replica of the Virgin of Guadalupe. This atrium is a replica of the one in the Apostolic School of Queretaro.
❖ Centro Platero Artesanal de Zacatecas
Located within the shell of the Ex Hacienda de Bernárdez, Zacatecas Silver Handicrafts Center is ideal if you want to get to know Zacatecas’ jewelry artisans’ work first-hand.

Es una comunidad de Guadalupe, ubicada a 15 minutos del Pueblo Mágico. Uno de sus principales atractivos es La Casa Grande, que aloja al Centro de Investigación y Experimentación en Arte Popular de Zacatecas.
En este lugar podrás conocer el trabajo de los artesanos locales, quienes elaboran gran variedad de piezas en cartonería, lana, chaquira, cerámica, cantera, fibras vegetales y piel.
No pierdas de vista el Santuario del Niño de las Palomitas y la Capilla del Señor de la Misericordia.
❖ Visit the Eremitorio Sacromonte
Located a little over two hours from Guadalupe, this religious building will surprise you. This is a place for prayer and meditation located on the Cerro de la Peña Rajada.
The Sacromonte Hermitage is open to the public every first Sunday of the month, when hundreds of people make a reservation to participate in mass and visit the Gruta del Niño (the Child’s Cave).
Here, as well as visiting the hermitage, you can enjoy walks along the hill, the beautiful landscapes, and the tranquility that exists here.
❖ La Morisma de Guadalupe
This is a theatrical reenactment with a religious and irreverent character that takes place on Campo de los Moros. It commemorates the Battle of Lepanto between the Moors and the Christians, which was fought in 1571.
Don’t miss the opportunity to witness this astonishing reenactment with your own eyes, between the 22nd and the 24th of June, during the festival in honor of Saint John the Baptist; and from the 5th to the 7th of October, in honor of the Virgin of the Rosary.
